Art work creation, design, printing and sewing

Our fabrics are proudly designed, printed and sewn in Australia, and are hand-made to order.

All designs start off hand-drawn and or painted on paper and later, digitally rendered to add colour, pattern and other details in preparation for printing on fabric. Read more about the creative process here.

Please be aware that while we make every effort to ensure colour consistency, slight colour variations may be found between digital images and fabric. There may also be slight variations between fabric batches.

As each product is individually hand-made to order, the exact positioning of patterns may differ to the image on our website.

Sustainability

We value the best in quality and ensure our footprint on the environment is minimal in all we do. This includes ensuring printing is on demand, helping to reduce and eliminate unnecessary use of resources such as inks, water, fabrics and energy.

All fabrics are printed in Australia using non-toxic, solvent free and water-based inks, which are not only better for the environment, but highly colourfast.

Cushion inserts

Our philosophy is to only buy and use what we need, and where possible, invest in and look after quality, sustainable and environmentally friendly products.

We don’t offer the option of cushion inserts as shipping works out to be more economical for you to purchase direct from your preferred supplier. This also allows for the flexibility of using inserts you may already have or to choose those you prefer.

For sizing we suggest a 50 x 50cm insert. Our recommendations are:

• Puradown 100% duck feather inserts - they are made from premium materials - 100% Cotton Japara Casings filled with Australian, ethically sourced feathers.

• Feather Factory 100% duck feather scatter cushion inserts - they are also made from premium materials - 100% Cotton Japara Casings and filled with European, ethically sourced feathers by the Australian Accredited Member to the International Down and Feather Bureau (est. Paris 1953), Danish Eiderdowns.

Base fabrics

The base fabrics we print on are all made of natural fibre, including cotton, linen and cotton-linen blends. These fabrics are suitable for interior soft furnishing, drapery and light domestic upholstery. Please be aware that natural fabrics, such as those made from linen or cotton-linen, may have minor weave irregularities. These add to their natural and unique character.

Fabric care instructions

Our fabrics are printed using non-toxic, solvent free and water-based inks. As such, they are highly lightfast and unlikely to fade over time from sun exposure, so you will enjoy many years of pleasure from them.

For washing, our strong recommendation is a gentle, cold hand wash with mild detergent and drip drying. Do not wring, rub, bleach or tumble dry. Warm iron.
